St Augustine is the only one of Hedon's three medieval churches to survive, the oldest part dating from 1190.

Set in quiet countryside close to the River Arrow, Studley's church has a history dating back to the 12th century, and parts of that original building can be seen in the north wall.

Built of brick, it has the worship area on the upper floor, reached by a flight of six external stone steps, under a portico with a roof supported on stone pillars.

This tiny chapel may well have been built as a chantry chapel in memory of Robert de Tattershall who died in 1212 and whose effigy it is thought to be, lies beside the altar.

This church is reputed to have the best broached spire in England and houses two full size effigies dating from the 13th century of the knight Sir Lambert de Trikyngham and his wife, created in 1280.
