Grange Methodist Church (1874) is the second oldest church in Grange over Sands, located in the town centre on one of the main shopping streets.

The parish church is an attractive building in a prominent position next to the clock tower in the centre of Grange over Sands.

At the annual meeting of the Preston District Congregational Union in 1871, strong representations were made as to the necessity of building a chapel in Grange over Sands with services starting eventually in a room at the Liberal Club 1889, thanks to a grant from the Union.

Building by Wilson & Tait completed 1911.

Architect John Coates Carter is a well kept secret, his buildings embody the Arts & Crafts movement of the early 20th century and St Paul's is said to be the finest of his surviving early churches.

St Wulfram's slender and graceful spire, distinctively flanked by its four spirelets, would very likely have been the tallest in England when it was built in 1280-1300, and it is still one of the most elegant.

St Wilfrid’s has served its community for more than 900 years.

This church is well known because of its associations with the great Romantic poet William Wordsworth, who lived in nearby Dove Cottage and is buried in the churchyard.

Grayingham church is dedicated rather unusually, to St Radegund, who was a German princess who was born early in the 6th century and went on to to establish the monastery of the Holy Cross at Poitiers.

The skyline of Greasbrough is dominated by the pinnacled tower of St Mary’s.
