St Mary's church welcomes walkers and visitors all year round. Situated near an old drovers route from the Welsh hills to England it has surprising origins. The raised curtilage and yew trees give some clues, but the 8th century pottery find point to a habitation combined with the sacred site, being pre-Norman and in the confluence of the eleven Davidic churches surrounding Glascwm.
The present building is early Norman and features Medieval roof timbers and many fine stain glass windows from around the time of the Great War. The War Memorial is stone, but the base is Medieval and is denoted on old maps simply as "the Cross". The original wooden cross has long since gone.
Another feature is the Quiet Garden, registered with the Quiet Garden Trust, it is surrounded by tall pines and is a peace of peace and reflection.
