A Tudor chapel by a lost village.

Soar y mynydd is the remotest chapel in Wales, its name is Welsh for 'Zour of the mountain'.

The Abbey was founded in the 7th century; St Aldhelm was the second abbot.

The church, designed by Colin Shewring, was built and dedicated in 1965, it is one of the most distinctive buildings on the estate and in Oxford, with its curved walls and roof.

A lovely village church with interesting features to be discovered including early 14th century stained glass depicting three medieval family shields of the Percy, Umfraville and Beaumont families.
