Built during the early 13th century, St Peter’s is a Grade I listed building described by Sir John Betjeman and John Piper in the 1965 Shell guide to Lincolnshire as one of the finest pure Early English churches in the country.

The church of St Andrew was built in 1794 to replace earlier buildings on the site.

The castle, long since ruined, was that of the Beauchamp family and once stood just above the church on the slopes of Bredon Hill.

Visible from miles around that spire of St Mary’s nestles into the beautiful landscape of the Heart of the English Lake District.

The picturesque village of South Carlton is situated on the edge of the limestone cliff to north of Lincoln, just at the point where it dips down to meet the valley of the Trent.

On the western edge of the village below RAF Scampton, where the Dambuster raids were flown from and now home to the Red Arrows; there is an RAF chapel in the church with Squadron badges and there are several Commonwealth War Graves in the churchyard.

The present day church of St Michael & All Angels is in a very different form to the original building but remains a holy place of great beauty.

As the crow flies, Chesterton church is barely a mile from the noise and bustle of Warwick Services on the M40, but it feels amazingly remote.

St Andrew’s serves a village of approximately 1200 people. It is a well loved and well used building, with a very active congregation.

The delightful conservation village of Cold Overton lies on a ridge close to the Rutland border, where the church originates from the 12th century with its medieval wall paintings and stone carvings.

This delightful church is dedicated to St Alkmund, a prince of the Royal house of the Kingdom of Northumbria, born in about 770.

This stunning ancient church, founded in the 5th century as a pilgrimage site to St Tudwen, is a place of solitude and spiritual refuge and is open all year round.
