St Sidwell and St Gulval
Laneast is a fine, isolated, Cornish church. C12 with C14 west tower, C15 and C19 alterations. It was originally a chapel established and maintained by the Augustinian priory at Launceston, but 900 years later is now part of the Cornish Moorland Cluster of Churches. Work is to conserve/repair the glazing to the east and south window. Re-carve and replace traceries and mullions. There is a very unusual pre-reformation window, and is the jewel in a fine church. It has to be restored for the benefit of the County.
