An original 13th century building with additions n the 14th and 15th centuries. Further restoration in 17th century. Brick and flint construction with a hammer beam roof which is slate covered. Several stained glass windows, in the characteristic style of the Arts & Crafts School, were produced by members of the acclaimed Rope family who lived locally. The artists were Ellen Mary; Margaret Agnes and Margaret E Aldrich Rope. The belfry contains six bells dating from 1655 to 1902.
