Friends Award

Choose a church to receive a special grant of £10,000

Perhaps the most exciting category in the National Church Awards is the Friends Award, because the winner is chosen by the supporters of the National Churches Trust.

Each year, we invite churches that have previously received a National Churches Trust grant to tell us about the progress of their projects and whether they still need support to complete them. We then ask our Friends to help decide which church should receive an additional grant.

This is your opportunity to have a direct say in where funding goes and to help a church take the next step in its journey. By watching the shortlisted churches’ films and casting your vote, you can help make a real difference to the future of a cherished church building and the community it serves.

Through your generous donations, our growing community of Friends helps us support churches across the UK. Together, you help protect heritage, strengthen communities and ensure that historic church buildings remain open, active and valued for generations to come.

If you’re already a Friend of the National Churches Trust, look out for your voting link in August. You’ll be able to watch the shortlisted churches’ films, learn about their projects, and choose the church you think should receive this year’s Friends Award grant.
