Gloucestershire: Cider with Rosie Reimagined

A new exhibition by Jeremy Houghton. Cider with Rosie Reimagined is a new collection of paintings inspired by Laurie Lee’s much-loved memoir of the same name. The exhibition is being held in Holy Trinity Slad - the church where Laurie Lee is buried - and will help raise funds towards the ongoing repair and restoration of this much-loved village landmark.

St Giles is known as Pugin's Gem. On August 31st it will be 180 years since the church was opened and consecrated. In celebration we will be holding a flower festival on September 4/6th, when the church will decorated with flowers and there will be parishioners on hand to welcome visitors. We are also hoping there will be a peel of bells rung on the Saturday 5th to commemorate the occasion.
