St Deiniol

Mae eglwys wedi’i chysegru i Sant Deiniol wedi sefyll ar y safle hwn ers y chweched ganrif. Mae’r gynulleidfa’n ymfalchïo yn y cysylltiad rhwng yr eglwys a theulu y Prif Weinidog Fictoraidd, William Ewart Gladstone.
St John’s was built in 1871 in the early Gothic style on a raised area in the centre of Menston village. St John’s is not a listed building, but is a fine example of its type and has a beautiful east window erected in 1876 depicting the visit of the Magi to the infant Christ, designed by John Ward Knowles.
The church furniture is by Robert Thompson of Kilburn (find the 19 carved mice on the furniture), and there is a fine Binns organ. The village First World War memorial is situated in the church and unusually lists the names of all the men and women of Menston who served in the Great War with a bronze tablet in the centre giving the names of those who lost their lives.
