Externally, the most exciting Saxon feature is the window (now blocked on the inside) on the north side, towards the east end. It may have been the only window in the original church.

Inside, the dominant feature is the Saxon chancel arch. Most of the fittings, including pews, pulpit, gallery, date from the restoration of 1853, although they feel earlier.

There is excellent and intricate flintwork called galletting on the west front.
