This beautifully cared for church was largely rebuilt in 1566, and then remained virtually unchanged until the Georgian period.

From that time date the west gallery with its barley twist wooden columns, the upholstered box pews, nicely done up in blue with red carpets, the three decker pulpit (also furnished in reds and blues), and the reredos with its Baroque painting.
