St John's is a special place loved by the community of Fishpond. It is a single cell chapel with simple decorations and a spectacular modern brightly coloured stained glass east window, that floods the church with colour and light as the sun rises. 

As St John's is the only community building in Fishpond, it is the place that hosts all major life events and village happenings for this small rural community. Set on the slopes of Lambert's Castle, on a route down to Whitchurch Canonicorum and St Wite's Shrine, who is Dorset's patron saint, it is regularly visited by pilgrims and visitors alike. 

Nestled in an area of outstanding natural beautiful surrounded by land protected by the National Trust, the village and church has attracted artists who have been inspired by the peace they find at St John's. All are welcome to visit and join our Worship Services.
