Before it became surrounded by a sea of modern housing and other developments, the impact of West Walton's huge detached tower in this flat landscape must have been genuinely awe inspiring.

Beautiful Grade II listed parish church of grey brick construction, in a Gothic Revival style, standing in a secluded churchyard.

Our Grade II listed church was built in 1787 and stands at the heart of the village in the Dobcross Conservation area.

The church began with the faith of one man, Alderman Manton.

St Lawrence's is a timber framed church that at the most conservative estimate dates from 1531.
