St Mary's is a Grade I listed church and one of the finest examples of a medieval marshland church.

This church was established in 1865 and the original building, having been extended in 1891 remained in constant use until 1989, when it was demolished.

St Edmund's church, in the beautiful village of Warkton, is an ancient and attractive building that has stood at the centre of a community for centuries.

Large Grade I listed priory church dating from 1077, the porch is one of the oldest parts of the church and dates from the rebuilding of 1380.

All Saints, Sancton dominates the landscape of our village and encompasses our history from Celtic times.

Situated in the centre of Meltham and was consecrated on St Bartholomew’s day 1651 by Bishop Henry Tilson a former Bishop of Elphin in Ireland, the church is believed to be one of a very few in England to be consecrated during the Commonwealth period.

St Mary's was built by donations from the local mill workers, it is a true community church.
