St Mary Magdalene, Geddington is one of the most beautiful and historic buildings in Northamptonshire, with its Saxon Nave, Eleanor Cross (over the road), Early Norman, Late Norman, Medieval and Victorian improvements.

Contains 21 carved heads, depicting subjects including the green man, crowned heads and strange animals.

Open daily, this Anglo Saxon church is set in a wonderfully peaceful location and full of history with some rare features, a real gem!

The roots of Wade Street Church go back over 400 years with the current building opened in 1812. It is still standing today and the outside is more or less unchanged.

The greatest treasure in this church is the stone reredos in the east wall of the north aisle.

This church has strong American associations as during the Second World War some 6,000 men and women of the 351st Heavy Bombardment Group Eight, United States Army Airforce, was stationed at the newly created Polebrook Airbase.
