Beautifully sited rural church of 15th to 19th century with an extremely rare 1676 painted limestone monument and lovely candleabra, oil lamps, reredos and Norman font.

There has been a church on this site since 1893 although it was not completed until 1934; during the bombing of World War II it was seriously damaged by fire and when rebuilt in 1957 was reduced in size.

This pleasing little medieval church is much visited, standing as it does in a key position overlooking the 18th century picturesque landscape of Stourhead, now a very popular National Trust estate.

This simple stone chapel, which opened in 1733, retains its Georgian character.
