Come and visit 'The Iron Church', a simple structure with a bell tower and a south porch and stands high above the villages of Askam and Ireleth.

A poem by the 16th century bard Gwilym Gwyn tells the story of St Eilian, to whom this church is dedicated.

St Peter’s was built in 1874 designed by well known Lancashire firm of Paley and Austin and won an award for its design as a ‘mountain chapel’.

St Peulan is medieval in origin, and stands in isolation at the end of its raised, grassed, causeway, which turns off the road signposted to Dolbaen.
