The Danish church in London differs from the other Danish foreign churches by staying in a historic church building.

A medieval church with facilities, open daily and welcoming everybody whether local or visiting historic places, in the heart of a lovely Exmoor village with a pub and fantastic local walks.

In 1857 the church of St Mary of the Angels was opened with a community known as the Oblates of St Charles.

Our history is inexorably entwined with some of the most radical and progressive developments of the modern age, and yet the core principles at the centre of our congregation remain as true today as they were when the church began.

The tower of St Laurence is one of the best of its kind in the country, and is remarkable both inside and out.

The church stands at the centre of the village where modern houses occupy the sites of farmyards and are thus cheek by jowl with ancient farmhouses.

We are St Andrew's, Thornhill Square and Church on the Corner, two churches (one with a gorgeous garden) at the heart of a very diverse, thriving urban community which is reflected in our congregations, who are also busy, active and very welcoming.
