Warleggan is one of the smallest parishes on Bodmin Moor and has a real link to Poldark!

The most complete example of a Decorated period church in Cornwall, St Mary’s was dedicated by Bishop Bronescombe in 1259, the church boasts the best 14th century tombs in Cornwall, Courtenays and Dawney.

The church was founded in the 12th century and retains some of the Norman stonework. The south chapel of Our Lady contains the 15th century tomb of Sir Ralph Grey and his wife Elizabeth.

Our church Fellowship dates back to 1793.

Dating from 1849, the building was extended and reconfigured in 1909 to a design by St John Phillips.

St Endellion is one of England’s holy places, an ancient collegiate church with four prebends.

This is the only church anywhere dedicated to St Meubred. It has one of the best churchyard crosses in the country, 9th century with knot work scrolls, ring chain and plait work. You can also find our fascinating carved medieval bench ends.

The mines are gone but the church still stand proudly on the hillside and welcoming everyone who wishes to enter.
