The Abbey is a working monastery where a community of Benedictine monks live self sufficiently, welcoming visitors from all around the world.

At the heart of the site is the abbey church, a spiritual haven with an overwhelming sense of peace. The church is surrounded by gardens which in the summer come alive with colour. Spacious lawns and three specialist garden areas are maintained for pleasure and relaxation. These comprise a lavender garden, a physic garden and a sensory garden.

A gentle stroll along well laid paths leads to carefully thought out areas which help to aid in a relaxing visit. Many gems and hidden garden areas are also there for the finding, including the 'secret garden’.
