St Matthew’s is one of a local group of Keble churches.

A delightful village church on the ‘Pilgrim’s Trail’ between Winchester and Portsmouth in the South Downs National Park.

A large Grade I cruciform church on a hillside above the village.

St Barnabas is a Grade 1 listed building dating from the 14th century with an impressive rood screen, font and pulpit.

Holy Trinity is in the centre of the village, opposite The Sun Inn, next to the school and village pond.

St Martin's is a 20th century small church of modern design built in 1960 and delightfully situated in a large residential area.

Built in 1717, this is one of the finest Quaker meeting houses in the country.

Flint walls, a low, steeply pitched roof and a 15th century wooden porch give the outside of St Margaret's a quiet rural charm.

Founded in 907, the abbey was at first a nunnery then, from 974, a Benedictine Abbey of nuns.

The church tower is visible for miles around, and is in the 'Levels' style. The figures around the church roof are either gargoyles (water spouts) or Hunky Punks, a local name for grotesque carvings which are not gargoyles.

Back at the beginning of the 20th century, Sunday worship took place in a small wooden hut, not far from the church’s current site.
