St Buryan is a busy, friendly, Cornish village, dominated by its huge, Grade I listed collegiate church, ‘the Cathedral of the West’ dedicated to St Buriana, a 5th century Irish Saint.

Our church, a fine Grade I listed building dating from the 14th century, contains 33 late medieval bench ends, including one depicting a dog preaching to a pig!

Reputed birthplace of Wales’s patron saint in uplifting location.

The remains of the Abbey of St Mary lie in the centre of St Dogmaels immediately south of the parish church, which itself lies to the south of the High Street.

You can be assured of a warm welcome at the peaceful church of St Eval. It stands almost alone with its 60ft tower visible for miles around, surrounded by the disused runways of RAF St Eval, an important Coastal Command airfield during World War II.

At St Ewe village the road widens just a bit at the market cross and mounting steps, through the gate you'll see the camellia developed by Mr Tregunna of Caerhayes and named St Ewe.

Probably first built as a barn during the mid 18th century, the building was acquired in 1777 by the Unitarians for use as a meeting house or chapel.

Built in the 12th century, the church underwent extensive and sympathetic restoration in 1859, undertaken by GE Street in 1859.
