Acton Green St Peter

The parish was founded in 1865 in a densely packed slum district, the architect was George Edmund Street, a member of the Margaret Street congregation, and then at the height of his powers.

Glastonbury Tor has been a site of religious significance for over 1000 years and is known as being one of the most spiritual sites in the country, as well as its close links to Christianity, its pagan beliefs are still very much celebrated.

There is evidence that a timber built nave existed in the 13th century.

We are St Andrew's, Thornhill Square and Church on the Corner, two churches (one with a gorgeous garden) at the heart of a very diverse, thriving urban community which is reflected in our congregations, who are also busy, active and very welcoming.
