St Michael & All Angels stands close to a moat and was once the site of a Saxon Village until the Black Death.

The ancient cathedral is situated on top of Stow Hill overlooking the city of Newport having much architectural merit which provides a rewarding experience for visitors, as well as a quiet space for private reflection or prayer.

The chapel opened in 1847, designed by John Langdon.

On one side this church sits above the river Salwarpe and on the other above the Droitwich Canal.

The 12th century church is Grade I listed and contains a number of important listed monuments in the church and churchyard.

This church is famous because it is completely covered in religious scenes created with beautiful venetian glass 'tessarae' mosaics and marble in the style of Ravenna in Italy, it is visited by people from across the world.

This large estate church in the woods with a tall spire was built for the Second Marchioness of Ailesbury by TH Wyatt in 1861.
