The church of St Leonard is only 48 feet long and twenty feet wide and is a welcome haven to many walkers, cyclists, climbers, cavers, and passers by who explore the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

The first Wesleyan Methodist chapel was built in 1786 in the district known as The Wong or Cagthorpe. It was replaced by a new chapel on the same site in 1806.

On the north bank of the Quoile River, Inch Abbey was founded by John de Courcy in atonement for his destruction of Erenagah Abbey.

St Mary's dates from around 1250 and has stood at the heart of the village of Tattingstone south of Ipswich in Suffolk and not far from the Essex border.

The church dates from the 13th century but little is known about its early history, it underwent a massive restoration 1784 after its original spire fell down.

An unusual and fascinating church, effectively a medieval church encased in a Georgian red brick shell in 1758, St Swithins still holds many treasures inside its walls and the trouble taken to obtain the key and open the Norman west door is well worth the effort.
