There has been a building on the site since 1230, when Simon de Tynton was presented by William de Lisures to be the first Rector.

This pretty greenstone parish church is dedicated to St Wilfrid and is a Grade II listed building dating from the 15th century and restored in 1890 by Ewan Christian.

St Luke’s most outstanding features are the beautiful stained glass windows and the memorial to Mary Jane Lovell, who went to Palestine in 1892 and founded the Lovell Society for the Blind.

The small church of St Michael dates to at least the 12th century, with evidence of alteration in the 13th, 14th, and 15th centuries, plus a comprehensive restoration in 1860 under the direction of James Fowler, a church architect from Louth.

St Mary's was completed in 1841.

Set in a lovely rural hamlet on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds, grade I listed All Saints is a gem of a church, with a wonderful chancel and its connections with Italy.

The manor of Scrivelsby is held by a form of tenure which requires the performance of a service rather than a money payment, in this case as the Kings or Queens Champion.

A relic from a medieval past.

The beautiful Grade I church we see today, situated by the River Bela, is the result of additions and adaptations through the centuries.

The church is built on the site of a Saxon place of worship, of which little remains, there is a priests door in the south wall with a preNorman tympanum which is probably the oldest part of the church.
