A remote unspoilt delight.

Finished in 1860 to replace at least two earlier buildings, this United Reformed church, built in the Italianate style is one of the most significant buildings in Bishop’s Stortford.

St Mary's dates mostly from the 15th century and from the outside its two most striking features are the flint built tower and the beautiful south porch of stone and flint.

St Michael's is a large and imposing church, dominating town and country from its hilltop site.

This delightful Grade I Listed church is situated at the top of the hill overlooking the picturesque Waveney Valley where peace and tranquillity can be found in abundance.

Used by generations of villagers for worship, we are proud to open for visitors most days.

St Mary’s church dates from Saxon times, has an exquisite reredos and altar rail, and is one of the 33 Suffolk churches with a round tower.

All Saints is the parish church of Rotherfield Peppard, a village 6 miles north of Reading and 5 miles west of Henley on Thames.

Prepare yourself for surprises when you go into this church, from the outside nothing looks untoward, except that the tower is clearly Saxon, and the whole of the rest of the building is obviously very much later.
