There is always a warm welcome for anyone at St Catherine's church, Brynammam.

Built by the 14th Lord Lovat in 1826, altered in 1881 by Peter Paul Pugin and is reputedly the first Roman Catholic Church to have been built in Scotland post Reformation.

Opening only ten days after the declaration of the Second World War, Immanuel is not strictly a historic church; but it retains all the hallmarks of 1930s non conformist architecture and design from the art deco to the post war modern.

The Grade I church is mainly 14th century, although the tower is later.
