St Thomas is built in the Early English architectural style.

The skyline of Greasbrough is dominated by the pinnacled tower of St Mary’s.

Great Houghton is part of the Barnsley Methodist Circuit.

St Mary’s was founded in 1170 by the Norman Lord, William de Lovetott. Of this church, only part of the chancel and the lower part of the tower remain.

The stunning interior of Caen stone evokes the great Gothic cathedrals of Amiens and Reims; the church is also home to a superb collection of stained glass windows by Kempe and others. 

St John’s is a much loved church at the heart of the community, where generations have gathered to find welcome, connection and hope.

The first church on this site was erected in 1140.

Perkins & Backhouse Gothic Revival built in 1861-63, rebuilt 1979 to provide additional community spaces with Robert Thompson furniture and William Morris glass.

This Grade I Norman church has some stones used in its construction which indicate an earlier Saxon church on this site.

In 1712 the church was built as a chapel of ease in a farmer’s barn.

We’re on many cycle routes and the terrain is perfect cycling country and also, if you’re on a narrow boat on the canal, you can walk from Golden Nook Bridge to find us.

Christ Church Kensington Liverpool is 151 years old, the church is on the national heritage list for England and is considered worthy of preservation.
