Welcome to the parish church of Monks Risborough, the oldest recorded ecclesiastical parish in England.

There has been a church on this site since 1893 although it was not completed until 1934; during the bombing of World War II it was seriously damaged by fire and when rebuilt in 1957 was reduced in size.

Reputed birthplace of Wales’s patron saint in uplifting location.

This medieval church sits, unspoilt, within magnificent Oxfordshire parkland.

Opening only ten days after the declaration of the Second World War, Immanuel is not strictly a historic church; but it retains all the hallmarks of 1930s non conformist architecture and design from the art deco to the post war modern.

To approach St John’s is to leave behind the busy shopping centre and housing estate and enter a quiet haven.

Christ Church is a grade II* listed church, built in 1851 to a design by George Gilbert Scott.

Whilst it is probable that a wooden Saxon church existed on the site of the present church, we can say for certain that in the 11th and 12th centuries there was a Norman church, built of clunch and rubble intermixed with Roman tiles.

A rare and important survival of early Pembrokeshire chapel architecture.

The late Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, was born and brought up just to the south of the village at St Pauls Walden Bury, home of the Bowes-Lyon family since the 18th century.

The tale of St Andrew's church began in the last decade of the 19th century when Cardiff was a town growing around the docks which were built by the Marquises of Bute.
