We have come full circle - built as a place of worship in 1822, returned to a place of worship in 2025.

This lovely village church is grade I listed and dates from the beginning of the 14th century, when stone from the demolished Norman church was reused to build the present one, in the Perpendicular style.

St Denys is on the east side of the market place, and is surrounded by fine old buildings from many periods, including the 16th century half timbered vicarage.

The first church was built by the Normans shortly after 1100 AD. In spite of the need to extend, repair and replace over the centuries, parts of the original Norman church can still be seen today.

For more than 1000 years a building has stood on this spot, Saxons and Normans, Tudors and Elizabethans, Victorians and even us today have left their mark on it.

Surrounded by its beautiful, historic and thousand year old churchyard, the ancient church is one of the oldest in Lincolnshire.

A lovely place, where American poet Sylvia Plath is buried; the new churchyard was recently used in the filming of the BBC series Happy Valley and the old graveyard in the BBC series The Gallows Pole.

A 13th century, Grade I listed church in the heart of the village.

This beautifully simple building is in a valley about a mile from Hastingleigh village, there may have been a church here in the 6th century, but the present building is largely Norman and Early English.
