This Grade I church is at the centre of a gorgeous rural village, with a classic village pub, and is the most peaceful place to spend a few minutes.

The story of St Catherine's has been one of a small country church serving a village community, the church and churchyard still seem to retain an atmosphere of the rural heritage of Wickford's past.

Said by many to be the best kept secret among the forty two English cathedrals, it is a gem dating from 1108.
