St Ives Free Church is one of the oldest nonconformist churches in the country, tracing its history right back to the 1630s when Oliver Cromwell lived in the town for five years.

Only the west tower from the medieval 15th century church survives, the rest was built in 1739 by Rhodes of Barlborough and 1839 by Colvin.

Our church is in the centre of the village and listed for its historic, architectural and topographical importance.

St Laurence’s is probably the oldest building in Chorley and like most ancient parish churches in England has played a central role in the history of its local community.

Dating from the 11th century this attractive church commands views of the village and contains many interesting and attractive features.

We are the only church in the middle of a housing estate.

The name Barnack is synonymous with a particularly fine building stone. and it was used in hundreds of buildings in this area and much further afield, transported by boat on the Welland, Nene and other rivers.

St Augustine’s church dates from 1916 and is the only church in south east England designed by the great Victorian architect Temple Moore.

The Grade II* listed Fairhaven United Reformed Church (The White Church) is probably the most unusual and iconic church in the Fylde yet many people tell us that they know hardly anything about the church or that they pass by regularly but haven’t ever been inside.

A peaceful place for busy lives. Padfield Congregational Chapel in the centre of Padfield village is a much loved community focal point.
