You can’t get a chapel much older than Maesyronnen, it is considered one of the most important buildings in Wales.

You can spot this church from miles away although it lies in the Cherwell Valley, its spire, dating from around 1370 is both the most beautiful and tallest in the county at 60 metres high.

So often with Herefordshire churches setting plays a huge part in the impact of the building.

The churchyard site was an ancient burial ground going back to Anglo Saxon times, a buried Celtic cross, dating back to approximately 750AD, now sits proudly in the entrance porch.

All Saints was designed in the Early English style by John Dobson and was consecrated in October 1849.

A place of calm in a very busy world.

Caple means chapel, and the king's part of the name suggests that the people of this area owed direct allegiance to the Crown.

All Saints is on a quiet road that must once have been the original route linking the small harbours at Clarach, Wallog and Borth to the port at Aberystwyth.

Following a fire, set by arsonists in 2006, the repairs to one of Cumbria's largest parish churches continues and the building is once again open to visitors, who are uplifted and captivated by its remarkable space.

Built in 1220 in Early English style with an impressive spire added 1360.
