Ripon Cathedral has a history stretching back almost fourteen centuries, offering an unbroken tradition of witness to the Christian faith, both in the city of Ripon and across North Yorkshire.

The Grade I church is built in a mixture of styles from Norman to the 17th century.

There has been a church on this site since Saxon times; much of the present configuration and appearance dates from the mid 19th century.

The Grade I church is Early English and Decorated.

Today St Wilfrid’s is recognised as one of the finest Catholic parish churches in England with its sanctuary which was remodelled following the Second Vatican Council although the ornate reredos designed by Edward Pugin remains unaltered.

All Saints church stands at the heart of the lovely village of Newton on Ouse, North Yorkshire on the banks of the river Ouse and close to National Trust property, Beningbrough Hall.

Caldey Island has had a Christian community since the 6th century, making it one of the earliest Christian sites in Britain.
