On entering the church stand for a moment and take in the excellent proportions of the building with its limestone nave built in 1430 and the chancel and tower of pink sandstone, constructed in 1480.

From the very early days of its origins and starting to build just after the turn of the 20th century, through to its completion in 1978, the story of this great cathedral, the largest in the UK and the fifth largest in the world, is unique and fascinating.

Daresbury and its church are most well known because of the connection with Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, world famous as Lewis Carroll, who was born here in 1832 and baptised in the church.

Go through the Tudor gatehouse of Lullingstone Castle to see the 14th century flint church with 15th century rood screen and chapel and 18th century plaster ceilings with stained glass from the 14th to 18th centuries.

​The last bomb site in Liverpool, St Luke’s is testament to the brave people who lived and died during the May Blitz of 1941.

St Paul's was built in 1884, It was designed by Henry Shelmerdine as a traditional redbrick building with stained glass windows, a fine font and features in the chancel.

A grade II listed building, designed by Edmund Kirby and consecrated in 1889 to serve the parish community of Seacombe in Wallasey.

Lying close to the River Mersey near the Royal Liver Building, the so called Sailors Church was originally two medieval chapels, one dedicated to Our Lady of the Quay and one to St Nicholas, the patron saint of sailors.

The Cathedral has a fascinating history that stretches back over a century and a half. We’d love to share it with you.

Heathfield son, Revd Robert Hunt, vicar of All Saints church, sailed to America in 1606 and founded Jamestown.

Our medieval church was built in the mid 13th century, and has splendid views over the North Downs.
