The long history of St Mary's opened a new chapter during the construction of Rutland Water when it became linked with the neighbouring church of St Matthew.

St Peter

Tickencote, Rutland | PE9 4AE

Perhaps Rutland's most photographed church, St Peter's is the result of combining a Norman church of about 1170 with an enthusiastic late 18th century reconstruction in Romanesque style.

This hilltop church is on a Roman site and replaced a Saxon building in the early 13th century.

St Matthew

Skegness, Lincolnshire | PE25 2AT

Lovingly known as 'the church on the roundabout', thanks to the 9th Earl of Scarborough who donated the land for the church to be built at the focal point of the town.

The Bridge

Redditch, Worcestershire | B97 4JX

Built in 1867 the building is one of Frederick Preedy's more unusual and elaborately detailed designs and the plan and decoration of the chancel are particularly noteworthy.

St Peter

Staunton on Arrow, Herefordshire | HR6 9HR

An interesting example of Gothic revival, St Peter’s sits on a prominent location next to the Norman motte and bailey with good stained glass, eclectic mix of window tracery, six bell peal and fine organ.
