Known as the Westminster Abbey of Wales, St Illtud's is one of the oldest Christian sites in the UK.

We believe that the ancient and sacred site we now call Llanilltud was the cradle of 'Celtic' Christianity and that Llanilltud's story is one of the greatest untold stories in Welsh History.

Like so many Somerset churches, Isle Abbots has a splendid tower, and this one is especially graceful, built of Ham stone between 1510 and 1520, with three distinct stages.

The site upon which this little church is built has been holy ground for some 1400 years and it is known that around 550AD Saint Mevan and Saint Issey busied themselves in this neighbourhood organising the early Celtic church.

All Saints is a small pilgrim church, very near the Glamorgan Heritage Coastal Path and also other popular walking by-ways.

St Mary's is the most striking building in Bridgwater and its spire is a landmark that can be seen for miles around.

Bridgwater Baptist Church is grade II*listed and was erected in 1837 in a neo classical style to replace an earlier existing church building.
