Probably the most interesting and historically important church in the Bridgwater area. It is the second oldest church building in the town and the first non conformist chapel. The 'school room' was the first school for the children of working people in the area.

The poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge preached here, Admiral Robert Blake's family attended, Daniel Defoe visited and spoke of it in glowing terms.

Today the chapel welcomes everyone, regardless of their faith. The congregation consists of people of various beliefs and none.
