This 18th century church has retained many outstanding features including a three tier pulpit; Nicholas Pevsner described it as 'Of the churches of the Early Gothic Revival this is one of the most remarkable in England'.

In a remote part of northwest Buckinghamshire, this predominantly 13th century church stands almost alone, with only an old gabled stone house and farm buildings for company.

The tower is well buttressed and unusually decorated , the first is accounted for by the susceptibility of the earth to subside on account of the Romans extracting iron stone from the vicinity.

This church has strong American associations as during the Second World War some 6,000 men and women of the 351st Heavy Bombardment Group Eight, United States Army Airforce, was stationed at the newly created Polebrook Airbase.

Set in a picturesque village, a Methodist Church built in 1922 to replace a Primitive Methodist Chapel founded in 1886.

The remarkable feature of this church is the series of 14th century wall paintings which were discovered almost a century ago by Professor Ernest Tristram, the authority on such works and a professor at the Royal College of Art.

Originally a Norman church with a wide tall chancel added in 1338 when a college here was founded by John Giffard, Canon of York.
