A living church in the centre of this pretty Peak District village, offering a warm welcome to visitors and many points of interest.

A magnificent example of Elizabethan architecture and has an amazing, rare example of an Elizabethan wooden ceiling, the church reflects the history of nation and community over the centuries.

We welcome visitors, including those of other faiths (we recognise much of beauty, truth and goodness in the other world faiths) to our church. Friendly dogs are welcome.

The church of St John the Divine was planted as a daughter church of St Matthew, Rastrick around 90 years ago.

In 1818 an Act of Parliament was passed under which £1 million pounds was granted to the Established Church to build churches in developing industrial areas.

St Nicholas church is a beautiful 15th century building set in Sheffield's Peak District, with many interesting features: glass, stonework, and woodwork.

St Mary’s church stands on the site of much older places of worship, the first documented place of worship here was established by Sir Robert de Rockley in 1412 as a private chantry chapel.

On a gentle hill in the village of Eyam in Derbyshire’s beautiful Peak District, Eyam is noted for the historical reality of the plague in 1665-66.
