Mighty medieval church deep in the countryside.

One of the highest churches on the North Devon coast, a landmark yet hidden from marauders; great views of Bideford Bay from the churchyard which is probably celtic in origin.

St Wynwallow is tucked away on a lane heading down to Church Cove. It is a haven of peace and quiet for visitors who come in for a chance to cool down in the summer or shelter from the elements in the winter.

Marazion church, across the bay from St Michael’s Mount, is perhaps best renowned for the hymn writer Henry Francis Lyte (1793-1847) who wrote ‘Praise my soul, the king of heaven’ and ‘Abide with me’.

Built in 1895 this chapel is a fine example of provincial, gothic style with fine stained glass windows throughout.

The oldest Quaker Meeting House in Cornwall built in 1688, overlooking St Michael's Mount, Mount's Bay.

The abbey is a spectacular sight, perched on a rocky hill and surrounded by blue waters, at low tide, the Mount is approached by a historic stone causeway, used by pilgrims in the Middle Ages.

In a picturesque setting, the Grade I listed parish church is located on a steep bluff in the centre of the village at the end of a cobbled stone walk.

St Peter’s is an unusually large church for Devon, and is sometimes known as the little Cathedral of Devon.

In 1843 this was and still remains, the first and largest post reformation Catholic church to be built in Cornwall.

The mother church of Dartmouth and standing some 350ft above the main town on the narrow tract which, since ancient times, has been a right-of-way from the coast through Longcross to the River Dart crossing at Hardnesse.

In 739AD Aethelheard, king of the West Saxons, granted land for a monastery. In the early 900’s a cathedral was built, almost certainly of wood.
