The church was founded in 1120, is one of the architectural jewels in Cumbria and well worth a visit.

St Buryan is a busy, friendly, Cornish village, dominated by its huge, Grade I listed collegiate church, ‘the Cathedral of the West’ dedicated to St Buriana, a 5th century Irish Saint.

Step into this quintessential Cornish church, dedicated in 1259 to our own Celtic saint of St. Dominica, and step into a sense of peace and a slice of history.

At St Ewe village the road widens just a bit at the market cross and mounting steps, through the gate you'll see the camellia developed by Mr Tregunna of Caerhayes and named St Ewe.

Built in the 12th century, the church underwent extensive and sympathetic restoration in 1859, undertaken by GE Street in 1859.
