One Victorian vicar, a devotee of William Morris, redecorated the chancel with colourful Arts and Crafts work.

St Andrew

Stogursey, Somerset

This is a priory church, presented soon after 1100 to the Benedictine Abbey of Lonlay, near Falaise in Normandy, but later reclaimed by Henry V. It was later given to Eton College by Henry VI.

St George

Dunster, Somerset

An uneasy truce between priory and parish characterised the early history of this church: the townsfolk used the west end, while the monks worshipped at a separate high altar at the east end.
