There has been a church on this site since the 1950's. Being built post war which is one of the few churches of that era left in Bristol.

Its main historic value is the eight stained glass windows depicting the life of our Lord. They were designed by Pierre Fourmaintraux and made by James Powell & Sons (Whitefriars Glass) of London. There are only two examples of Pierre Fourmaintraux work in Bristol and only about seventy five across the country. They are listed in the archives of the V & A Museum references can also be found in Whitefriars Glass James Powell & Sons of London published by the Museum of London.

The church is situated in the centre of Lawrence Weston opposite the local shopping centre, surrounded by a grassed area and adjacent to a childrens playground.

There has been a church on this site since 1893 although it was not completed until 1934; during the bombing of World War II it was seriously damaged by fire and when rebuilt in 1957 was reduced in size.

Holy Trinity

Abbots Leigh, City of Bristol

The origins of Abbots Leigh and the Church of Holy Trinity are lost in the mists of time, but there are definite indications of a Celtic Settlement well before the Roman invasion.
