St Mary's is a lovely medieval village church at the heart of the community and celebrated our 800th anniversary last year (2025).

The church was built in the 13th century and revised in the 14th and 15th centuries. Victorian restoration was carried out in 19th century. In 1900 the west gallery was removed. The dedication to the Blessed Virgin Mary was before 1505. There is an interesting medieval brass and a set of six bells which are rung monthly. T

We are part of a Benefice of seven churches. We offer both traditional and more modern and relaxed worship to cater for all needs. There is a service each Sunday, some clergy and some lay lead. We are an Inclusive church.  The church is used for a variety of social and community events such as concerts, coffee mornings, flower festivals and big breakfasts to mention but a few.

We are also an Eco Church, taking our environment very seriously. Our churchyard is managed in an environmentally friendly way, and we have seen an increase in both fauna and flora in the last few years.
