A warm welcome awaits you. Our church family is an active and visible presence in the heart of the community. Vibrant, busy, and filled with people and groups that work together to share the message of Christ's love with everyone. This tradition of community - established over hundreds of years - has helped establish St Peter's as the heart and focal point of Burnham village.

We are a Grade II listed church with over 800 years of history, heritage and beauty. Sir William Wyndham Grenville - Prime Minister from 1806-1807 - is buried within the church and there are fine plaques, beautiful stained glass windows and various curiosities for even the most dedicated 'church crawlers' to find rich seam! Our surrounding churchyard is a peaceful place to rest during your visit, with our wildflower areas coming along nicely and the sounds of birds who call it their home in attendance.

Cornerstone is our church rooms which are open on Wednesdays for refreshments between 10am - noon so if you time your visit well, some delicious cake and a cuppa will be on offer. We also hire out Cornerstone for parties, events, meetings and celebrations. St Peter's strives to always be an uplifting, inspiring place of worship for everyone and since 2021, we are also part of the Inclusive Church network. All are welcome at St Peter's.

Services and prayers are held throughout the week with special services for the Christian festivals; all year round there are lots of fundraising and social events which fill the seasons with activity and enjoyment for everyone. Our vicar, Revd Josh Cleaver, has been incumbent since March 2025 and we have been delighted at the variety of people from all ages who choose to come and worship each week, and celebrate their life events here at St Peter's. Please contact us for more information if you'd like to arrange a baptism, wedding or other event.
