Designed by William Burn and built in 1826, Kinnoull Parish Church replaced an earlier church situated a short distance to the south. It is Neo-perpendicular with a Greek cross plan and houses the famous Millais stain glass window. The window contains fourteen panels of painted stain glass portraying the parables of Jesus. They are based on woodcuts designed by Sir John Everett Millais, President of the Royal Academy while he lived at Bowerswell in Kinnoull. The parables are interspersed with beautiful flower motifs. The window was gifted by his father in law George Gray of Bowerswell in 1870.
The interior of the church was extensively reconfigured shortly after it's centenary in 1927 with removal of the balcony and installation of new furnishings largely constructed from Austrian Oak. This created a bright and open interior.
