Administering the estate of a loved one who has passed away can be a daunting process. We have put together some guidance that can help you ensure your loved one’s wishes are met.

Our charity details
The below details are needed in a Will written by a solicitor. This will ensure that a gift left to the National Churches Trust reaches us.

Sending a payment by post
You can send the legacy by post via cheque to the above address, but please ensure that this is made payable to the National Churches Trust and let us know we are to expect this. You can notify us by email at legacy@nationalchurchestrust.org or by telephone on 020 7222 0605.
How to pay a legacy
Please follow these steps and do be in touch if you have any questions.
Step 1
You will need to send the following details to legacy@nationalchurchestrust.org or to the above postal address.
- The full name and title of the deceased
- Their last address
- The date of death
- The executor’s name and contact details
- A copy of the Will
- Any information about the reason for the legacy
Please note that if the legacy is part of the residue of the estate, we would require a copy of the Estate Accounts for audit purposes.
We will then provide you with a unique payment reference to add when sending a legacy to us by bank transfer.
Step 2
If you require our bank details to make a bank transfer please let us know by getting in touch via email or telephone. We want to ensure that all payments are made securely and safely and so our account details are not published in the public domain.
When making the payment, please include the unique payment reference we have given you when you notified us of the legacy.
